Electroless Nickel

ASTM B733

Mid-Phos & Hi-Phos Electroless Nickel Plating

Electroless Nickel plating is the deposition of a nickel-phosphorous alloy onto a metallic substrate without the use of an electrical current. The process uses a chemical bath to deposit a nickel/phosphorous layer on whatever surface needs to be plated, even non-conductive surfaces which allows for plating of a wider variety of materials.  The E-Nickel process utilizes an autocatalytic chemical reaction at a high temperature to deposit a coating of uniform thickness regardless of sharp edges, blind holes, deep recesses, seams, threads, or any complex geometrical shapes. Electroless Nickel coatings demonstrate exceptional hardness and corrosion resistance, as well as serving as an aesthetically pleasing surface finish.

We offer both mid-phosphorous & high-phosphorous content electroless nickel for parts up to 8 feet in length. Electroless Nickel plating is typically between .0002”-.003” thick. If needed, we also have the ability to harden the EN coating after plating using a bake process.
